Automotive air compressor is an safty part used as the manufacture of compressed airsource, and which is mainly used in medium and heavy trucks. In recent yeas, with thedevelopment of our automobile industry, aotumotive air compressor has had a largedevelopment and improvement in design level, technology level, product variety and quality.However, our forward development of air compressor still has a large gap with the foreignadvanced level. We have to do more in-depth studies of the automotive air compressor.Air compressor as a practical products, in the research and development design and keytechnology research stage, we must solve the modeling problem (including relative positionand assembly relation), the key parts’ material and structure problems, cooling andlubrication system reliability problems, lightweight and institutions energy saving problemand so on.Research on the Key Technology of A CA6DL Large Displacement Single-cylinder aircompressor. This thesis will take finite element analysis as the main auxiliary means, toanalysis the key parts, also the company’s perfect test equipment and the road test team willdo product test verification, then refine the theoretical basis of the large displacementsingle-cylinder air compressor’s key techniques.A CA6DLφ90×56large displacement single-cylinder air compressor is theindependent research and development product, the cylinder diameter is90mm, the stroke is56mm, which mainly matchs to Wuxi diesel engine CA6DL, CA6DM2and Dalian dieselengine CA6DE, CA6DF. CA6DLφ90×56is the biggest volume single-cylinder aircompressor, which is equivalent to KNORR’s φ92x54single-cylinder air compressor.For CA6DL air compressor, the structural parameter and the performance index isbased on the requirements of FAW automobile research institute and the customer’s externalconnection dimension, which is single-cylinder and reciprocating piston; Water-cooling,composite lubrication; the reed type exhaust valve slice.The problem is the air demand shortage, which influences the car braking safety andaverage driving speed.Combined with the project being built, this thesis mainly completed the following duties:Use CATIA software to design module, and check the key parts by finite element analy-sis. Especially for the waterway’s CFD analysis, which can provide important basis for theoptimal design of the model.Through the size chain analysis, we can check the displacement. The results shows thatonly in all parts size take the limit value (maximum or minimum), the actual displacementwill be slightly lower than the goal requirements. But in practical production, it is notpossible, so the design is qualified.In addition, this thesis will also to do further research for the key technology of thelarge displatement single-cylinder air compressor CA6DL. The key technology includes:①Aluminum alloy connecting rod and the hot rolled high strength steel(according to thedifferent vehicle matchibng). The two design both use high strength bolt connection.②Notouch piston energy-saving institutions, which can reduce the engine load and air compressorwear.③Improving water lane and coolant flow field, the strengthening cooling watercirculation system.④The optimum combination within the piston、piston ring and cylinder.By increasing the alloy elements and honing platform textured in the cylinder, which canimprove the surface abrasion resistance and oil saving ability. At the same time, get the ringfor infiltration pottery, chrome plating processing, and through calculation and test makealuminum alloy piston, piston ring and cylinder optimization combination, realize theoptimum matching.The research of the key technology have great significance for the large displatementsingle-cylinder air compressor CA6DL.In all, on the base of lightweight design、cooling system、energy-saving mechanismdesign、cast iron cylinder matching with piston ring etc.,this thesis combines with the acthalabroad and domestic situation to optimize design and match reasonably. These measuresimprove inflating efficiency and reliability, reduce exhaust temperature and prolong theservice life of the braking system of the chassis.
