As one of the most important parameters to evaluate the mobile crane performance,the lifting capacity performance is related with the working radius and loads directly.The performance of the crawler crane is determined by the carrying capacity and stability of the structure.While the carrying capacity of the structure mainly refers to the carrying capacity of beam structure, the stability of its operations is determinded by center gravity of itself as well as the mass balance.Accurate calculation of crawler crane performance plays a vital role in rationally determining the weight of the whole,the overall layout and improving operating performance.In this paper, the writer has studied the three main factors effected the lifting capacity performance:the beam strength, the beam overall and local stability, the whole anti-toppling stability on the basis of "YTQU160crawler crane load table optimization" developed by Yutong Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. and the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation of Northeastern University in order to meet the requirements of giving full play to the rated lifting capacity, improving the product’s competitiveness.First, the writer has established the mechanics model of the draw-beam before analyzing its strength and stability.It is convenient to judge the stress trend of the section through the chord stress in the curve form exhibited by MATLAB software. Secondly, in order to guarantee the stability of the crawler crane when working on a solid ground,this paper has studied the stability against overturning.Combined with YTQU160crawler cranes, it has determined the calculation of the critical load calibration of nominal weight as the stability criteria for anti-overturning guided by three rules in domestic and international.Then according to the formulation of the principle load chart, we have calculated the load of the machine table.On the basis of the load table, the writer has first analyzed the lifting performance of the crawler crane, the results show that:when the weight curve of the draw-beam strength and stability control close to that of the crawler crane and they own moderate point of intersection, they show that the crawler crane will perform well with a high utilization ratio. Secondly, this paper proposed innovatively of the crane system operating conditions to determine the typical criteria of the draw-beam.In contrast to calculate the stress of the YTQU160draw-beam in nearly1,600working conditions before,we only need to analyzed it in36conditions which greatly reduced the workload.Also this paper have studied the static displacement of the head and the raising angle of the draw-beam taking into account of the actual working conditions.Besides, The paper has developed an aided design software of the crawler crane performance which aims to check the strength and to compute lifting performance of important structural parts such as draw-beam.
