Professional rescue force often is their last hope for rescuing the ship or people in danger when the ship or facility and its personnel are in distress in adverse sea conditions. For the relief under heavy sea, not only the ships and their crew in danger need rescuing urgently, and salvage tugboats and their crew for the implementation of the rescue mission are also subjected to the threat of heavy seas, what’s worse, their own security is not guaranteed absolutely, especially when dragging ships in distress; rescue workers exposed to large waves for a long time, and they rescue as the hull violently shakes, and are extremely vulnerable to be personal injured. Therefore, we should improve the efficiency of dragging ships in distress, rescue ships should tow the ships in distress and leave large waves sea as soon as possible to protect the safety of people and the ship and assist to improve effectiveness.For the purpose of optimizing the rescue means as well as exploring the advanced rescue techniques, this paper first through field visits to research the South China Sea Rescue Bureau of first aid records over the years and rescue facilities. While making reference to the domestic and international maritime salvage technology, we have sorted out several ways of dragging ships in distress, and summed up the wound prevention and anti-broken cable technology in the rescue process. In addition, as professional rescue powers often need to perform a rescue mission in very bad sea conditions, the paper reviews the typical cases which are about that professional rescue ships rescue several ships uncontrolled in distress in heavy sea conditions, and focuses on the analyzing of the preparation before the rescue, the maneuvering of rescue ships, the ways and notations of dragging ships in distress. And the paper also puts up with some response measures of improving the success rate of dragging ships in distress and rescue success rate of ships in distress.
