Research On Jiangnan Waterfront Town ZhuTing Conservation Planning

For the historical towns of China, Jiangnan waterfront towns is an important part of historical town system, is also important cultural heritage of China. Due to urbanization and the development of tourism, Jiangnan waterfront towns style gradually lost its authenticity, and some are even facing extinction.In order to make Jiangnan waterfront towns sustainable use and sustainable development,it has become an urgent issue that how to protect the traditional culture of Jiangnan waterfront towns. Taking Zhuting which belongs to Jiangnan waterfront town as a research object of protection, the thesis adopts the methods of literature sdudy, comparative analysis, comprehensive analysis and other methods,and conducts preservation planning research to Zhuting from theory, policy and practice on the basis of domestic and international relevant research results and domestic cases. Make the following findings:(1) Through the case study of formation and development of Jiangnan waterfront towns in China, find the cause of the formation of Jiangnan waterfront towns from spatial patterns, site selection, planar and spatial layout.There have reasons that Shipping traffic led to human gathering and economic development,and person’s business activities gradually formed urban pattern.Then refine and sum up that the two major factors affecting the ancient town style is spatial pattern and features and characteristics by analyzing spatial elements which are composed of patterns,site selection, planar and spatial layout.And construct the basic framework for the preservation content of Jiangnan waterfront towns,which provides a theoretical basis and technical support for Zhuting town preservation.(2) Through on-site investigation to historical evolution and natural and human factor of Zhuting town, information lookup and analysis to the natural Characteristics, spatial pattern characteristics and spatial layout characteristics and cultural characteristics of Zhuting town, tease out the opportunities and challenges of Zhuting town.(3) Through illustrating the situation of Zhuting town style systematacially, making analysis of spatial pattern and features and characteristics which are two major factors affecting Zhuting town style, study the causes influencing Zhuting town style.which provides the basis for specific measures to the protection of Zhuting town features.(4) Under the guidance of contents frame to protect Jiangnan waterfront town, point at the reason effecting of Zhu Ting town style,combined with domestic and international relevant experience with protection of historic towns,take preservation planning of Zhuting town as A Case Study, put forword relevant strategies to preserve Zhuting town feature. To underline historical and cultural framework of Zhuting town that is" one river and two water guarding the city, four street and three zone with a series of ancient Rhyme ",propose that plan and design should uphold principles of protection, regenerate and reconstruct the buildings,originally comb the streets texture, rationally utilize the historical environment, repair and renovate the ecological environment.Through style preservation planning of Zhuting town, with a view to provide references with other waterfront towns.
