With the development of the engine technology, the lubrication system gets more and more attention. Control of combustion simply has been unable to meet the increasingly stringent requirements of the countries for the economy and emission. The effect of the lubrication system will affect the combustion and emissions, so the design and improvement of the lubrication system has developed rapidly. In this paper, through the careful study of the structure of a diesel engine lubrication system, we established the one-dimensional simulation of the lubrication system with FLOWMASTER software. According to the empirical formula, we calculated the necessary parameter conditions. Factory-supplied data and the calculation result is input to the simulation model of the lubrication system to simulate the complete process of the lubrication system. Select5kinds of speed from325r/min to1000r/min as the detection conditions. Calculate the pressure and flow data of the main parts. The simulation results were compared with measured data provided by the factory. The parameters can be in good agreement, and the error is less than5%. Therefore, the simulation results can better reflect the actual situation, and provide a basis to optimize the design of the diesel engine lubrication systems.According to the simulation results concluded:the oil pressure in the main oil pipe of the engine is not enough, which cannot meet the lubrication requirement. So it is recommended to replace a new oil pump. Simulate the lubrication with the new pump and Compare the data before and after optimization. The diesel inlet pressure is able to meet the requirements, the main oil pressure, flow rate are improved and meet the requirements. The new pump can effectively improve the oil pressure and fuel supply to meet the lubrication requirements.
