With the rapid development of world economy, science and technology, people’s requirements for products is increasing, the complexity of the product increase ceaselessly. To adapt to the market needs of intense competition, the product design of enterprise have to meet customer needs and meanwhile effectively improve product quality. But existing product optimization design has shortcomings in the product design process about the problem of integrating customer requirements. On the other hand, even get initial design of product optimization, but the specific parameters in subsequent product design enterprise always gets into the huge investment and limited gains embarrassing. Therefore, to resolve the problem of efficiency realizing customer requirements into product optimization design and radically improve product quality, this paper conducts from the obtain of customer demand knowledge. By means of theories and methods of fuzzy clustering analysis, AHP, the house of quality, Grey theory and orthogonal experimental design, the paper dedicated to study deeply on the optimization for products’design scheme from the general process of product design starting on the basis of previous research. It put forward an optimization model of products’ design scheme.Main work of this paper is as follows:(1) According to such problems as the ambiguity and uncertainty existing in the procession of the customer demands expressed, a method of customer demands segment based on the principle of semantic segmentation and conversion, the same demands unit merged, and the environment supplement is proposed. By this means, the original customer demands using natural language description is broken down into clear, specific customer needs unit, and then use clustering analysis to divide customer demands into several groups so that customer demands mapping technology needs more accurately.(2)A method to calculate the weighing of product design index, which is based on customer demands mapping. According to the low accuracy achieved from customer demand and its design index, which are of traditional mapping, make the proposal decisions which are customer satisfaction oriented, use AHP, calculate the product design index weighing with the characteristic of apriority, and then get the check weighing by conducting entropy theory. The subjective and objective weighing above will help to optimize the weighing of each index and convert reasonably customer demands into customer design index as well. (3) Since the QFD unable to obtain further product design parameters which customers focus on, orthogonal experimental design is used to simplify the scheme, the design efficiency is improved and the computational complexity is reduced. Then in order to confirm the optimum combination of the parameter, orthogonal design were calculated and analyzed with a method based on grey theory. The optimization scheme is obtained.(4) An optimization model for refrigerators design schemes is achieved. Customer demands of the refrigerator integrate into design process, and finally get to the product design program preferred meeting customer demand.
