Port industrial area is an important historical urban area. Its appearance and developmentconcentrated the whole industry civilization of human. Its decline is the inevitable result ofindustrial society entering to post-industrial society. At the same time， its renewal is also theintrinsic demand of city development which is the inevitable trend of history. The renewal of portindustrial area is related to the society， economy， culture， environment， etc that we needto pay attention to the research on the renewal of port industrial area from strategic view.The concept of sustainable development is put forward in recent years as a popular topic.
