Humanized Design Research Of South Universities For The Elderly

With the rapid development of China’s national economy, and general increase in living standards, social structure is alting, many new social problems began to appear. The "aging society" has become an important topic that the whole country and even the whole world pay close attention to.Facing the challenge of "aging",It has aroused a high level of concern among the government and researchers on how to assure the seniors can receive pension, health insurance, education and happiness in their old ages.How to create a suitable living environment for Elderly, to improve the quality of life of older persons, summarize design strategies to improve the relevant method is urgently needed to be done.Old-age education is one important aspect of the solution to the aging of society. China’s "elderly Protection Act" clearly states:"Older people have the right to education. National Development and old-age education and encourage the community to run various types of schools for the elderly. This is the main object of study in South China University of older buildings and the environment the design.by conduct field researching of many older universities and elderly centers, As well as community-related information collected, this paper discusses the social situation of our aging population; the development circumstances of domestic and foreign; The climate in southern China; the Necessity of Humanized design for elderly university in South China. Combined with my participation in the design of elderly university in Guangxi,the paper tentativily discusses on the University location, general layout design, functional layout, indoor and outdoor environmental design, architectural style and other aspects of the design strategy, and show my summary and evaluation,in the end of the article, I present my old university for in the design and construction problems, put forward their views and suggestions. The size of the old university building that should be institutionalized; old university building should bottom of; old function of the university setting should be integrated. Looking ahead, I believe that the issue of China’s elderly will be more attention to the community, China’s elderly will usher in a better tomorrow.
