| The subject of this article is originated from the sprayer design projectcooperated by China Railway Construction Heavy Industry CO., LTD. and School ofDesign of HUNAN University. The project aims to strengthen the company’s brandimage, specify the product styling and allow the product to enter the market withoverall advantage through series designing on all types of sprayers of China RailwayConstruction Heavy Industry CO., LTD.With the development of the times, the serialized form of the products is growingrapidly. And the series of products are of great significance for business andmanufacture. On the business side, it is mainly reflected in that the rich productsystem can fully meet the various needs of consumers. So the competitiveness ofcommodities could be strengthened. On the manufacture side, it is mainly reflected inthat the product parts can be designed in Standardization or modular for reducing theproduction costs. Therefore, the series design of products helps the companiesimprove the adaptability of their products, reduce their capital investment in earlystage and place in the fierce market competition.The paper first describes the project background and design requirements aboutthe series design of sprayers of China Railway Construction Heavy Industry CO., LTD.Then the design requirements are deeply analyzed. And the process of sprayer designand the main task are determined. Second, the appearance of element is summed fromthree aspects which include the analysis of the existing sprayers, the corporationimage and the trend of the construction machinery on the series design. Third, thefinal design is determined after conceptual sketch design and twice rendering design.Then the details of the sprayer are improved and the prototype of the sprayer is trialsuccessfully. Finally, the paper summarized the whole design process, and analyzedthe relationship of sprayer design between engineering and modeling, as well as therelational intellectual property issues. |
