Since the beginning of the21st century, with the development of human society and improve industrial technology, energy consumption is also increasing, the energy issue has become a major problem in today’s world can not be ignored. Face the increasingly serious environmental problems, the development and utilization of clean and efficient renewable energy is the main exit to solve the energy problems of the coming century. As wind energy has the characteristics of random fluctuations and intermittent, so large-scale wind energy, solar energy development has brought the grid-connected problem. In order to reduce the new energy’s impact to the grid, distributed generation technologies use renewable energy and large-scale development have become the important model for the development of new energy in China.Currently, in certain situations, distributed independent power system has become a hotspot for international research. For small and medium-sized independent grid, due to its thermal power and hydropower installed capacity constraints, the limited capacity of the grid’s power regulator, so the capacity of wind power network is limited. In such area, if you want to further reduce fuel consumption, noise and environmental pollution, improve the utilization ratio of renewable energy, energy storage technologies which can smooth wind-fluctuation is essential. Pumped storage is an energy storage technology the most mature, easy to implement. This article will research the natural conditions of wind and reservoir areas, When wind power has reached the limits of the grid can be accepted, the fluctuations of wind energy transformed into conventional hydroelectric power connected to the grid by wind-water combination, in order to further improve the utilization of wind energy.The main research work are as follows:(1) Reviewed the research status of independent micro-grid system, propose a structure system use wind power-water pumps-hydroelectric system into conventional hydroelectric power to set wind energy as a stable form into the grid, thereby increasing the wind power network percentage. Selection and modeling of major equipment and components works.(2) Based on the Particle Swarm Algorithm, propose a wind power-reservoir capacity ratio method. Consider the fluctuations in wind, rainfall and storage capacity constraints, and the wind power into hydropower generation efficiency can reach the largest wind turbine installed capacity.(3) Research the the power switching point during the operation of a multi-pump group speed control within the entire wind power fluctuations. Through optimization algorithm to determine the efficiency of making the system maximum power between the switching point in the pump unit.(4) Proposed the switch control measure to solve wind power fluctuations near the water-pump switch point. Using the hysteresis algorithm and the upper and lower threshold optimization approach to control the case of switching point fluctuations, reduce energy loss caused by frequent switching. And system modeling, build a simulation model in Matlab\Simulink to simulate the switch of pumping systems, verify the validity of the hysteresis control strategy in the pump unit for switching the operating.
