With the continuous depletion of conventional fossil fuels and environmental issueshave become increasingly prominent, wind and other renewable energy attract more andmore attention. In recent years, wind power technologies rapidly improve, reducing thecost of wind power, that offer the possibility for large-scale development. But wind energyaffect by the wind speed of natural environment, causing its output has a strongintermittent, random and uncontrollable. The large-scale wind power into the grid willhave a greater impact on the power system. Thereforeļ¼Œthe large-scale development ofwind farms at home and abroad has been troubled by wind power into grid.Wind farm and the pumped storage power station with the run, can makeuncontrollable wind power translate into a reliable power supply, and effectively reducethe impact on the grid. Pumped storage power station is a special power in the powersystem. It works not only as the load but also as a power by pumping conditions and waterconditions. You can achieve the re-allocation of the power of the wind farm issue in the"time" and "space". This established a power system on optimization for operation way ofwind-pumped storage power system. On basis of pumped storage power station operatingcharacteristics wind farm output characteristics, establishing the scene daily optimizationmodel for operation way of wind-pumped storage power system. The paper haveestablished two optimization model of combined systems operation based on the gridunified dispatching and peak-valley electricity price.Under the grid unified dispatching, the objective of the combined system is as muchas possible maximize use of wind power resources, reducing the peak depth and boot ofthe conventional unit Under peak-valley electricity price, the objective of the combinedsystem is the minimum of abandoning wind power, and make Wind-pumped storagepower system obtain the maximum economic benefits.. Model used accelerate thevariable step size search method to optimize the best working position of pumped storagein the scene daily load curve model The results show that pumped storage power underunified dispatching to give full play capacity efficiency and power efficiency, smooth wind power output, reduce abandoned wind power of wind farm; Under the peak-valleyelectricity price, pumped storage give full play to the tariff leverage that make thecombined system not only get more economic by more power in the high-priced powerperiods, but also shift the load and reduce the wind power volatility.The models using the same system, but uses a different operating mode to optimizethe simulation, causing the result of combined system output curves have some differences.Therefore, we can determine the choice of the combined system operation modes base onthe actual situation of the system, providing a reference for choice of operation way ofwind-pumped storage power system.
