Currently the design of axial-fans mainly depend on experiments, which is of high cost. In this thesis, we simulate and analyze the flow field with a commercial CFD software—FLUENT6.3.According to the structural parameters of BUF-3760/2114-1E,the modeling process is completed in Solidworks, using software GAMBIT to mesh work, determining the computational domain and importing the grid into FLUENT. Taking the RNG κ-ε turbulence model as the description of flow field; using the SIMPLE algorithm to solute it, then we utilize MRF rotation model to simulate it.Taking this type axial-flow fan as an example, simulate the flow field inside the fan and study the law of total pressure and efficiency. In structural research, taking axial-flow fan of airfoil blades as the main target, compared with axial-flow fan of plate blades under the same conditions. To make the blade mold suit the production of smaller flow rate, it is an economical method to cut the blade. In this paper, we make a systematic simulation study in cutting the blade. In addition, the study also includes changing the blade installation angle and discussing the law of performance curve. The conclusion has reference value for the design of axial-flow fan. Since this study can draw quantitative conclusions, it has reference on the design of fan.
