The multi-blade centrifugal fan has asymmetric structure and its internal flowfield is complex. It is necessary to study the distribution of internal flow field of thefan and analyze each part that has influence on the performance of the fan in order toimprove the structure of fan. It is difficult to directly observe the internal flow fieldconditions of the fan for the general experimental means. But it can be a very goodsimulation flow field with the CFD technology. Fluent software is used to imitate andanalyzed the interior flow field of multi-blade centrifugal fan in this paper. The mainworks and results are as follows:1. The numerical simulation methods of Multi-blade centrifugal fan and thenumerical simulation results of the current fan are summarized in this paper. At thesame time, the appropriate theory of the numerical simulation for the paper is elected.The3d model is established according to the design parameters of the fan by the Pro/esoftware, and calculation zone is meshed reasonably.2. Numerical simulation for the fan model and verifies the accuracy of thenumerical simulation through the experimental comparison, and makes the in-depthanalysis of the calculated results.3. For the4-72No4.5A centrifugal fans, the influences of the blade outlet angle,leaf width and the number of leaf on the performance of the fan are researched, and thena kind of majorization solutions is put forward. The fan model is improved, and theresults show that the improved fan’s efficiency increased by1.2%and the fan’s totalpress is increasing.
