Research And Application Of Communication System For Regional Expressway Network Planning

Expressway communication system is an information infrastructure. It canpromote informatization of expressway management, and improve efficiency,and assure benefits from expressway investment.Expressway construction has achieved remarkable success, but expresswaycommunication planning released several years ago can not guide recentexpressway communication system construction because of readjustment onexpressway network, communication technology progressing, freewaymanagement requirements changing and traffic information integration. Today’sfreeway communication resource is far less efficient than that expected. It isnecessary to make new plan of the regional highway communication network.This thesis researches highway communication network planning based onnew demands of traffic information integration and high quality video signaltransmission. Firstly, the thesis introduces the development and current situationof highway construction, then it gives the analysis of highway communicationtechnology and its developing trend, the comparative analysis of advantages and disadvantages on various communication technologies. At the same time it putsforward the communication system network architecture that is suitable forregional expressway network demands. Secondly, the thesis analyses newdemands of traffic information integration and high quality video signaltransmission. The thesis gives characteristics of expressway communication,analyses composition of communication system and plans the configuration andtechnical requirements of transmission, access, exchange, video, pipelineconfiguration and etc. Finally, the thesis puts forward the planning Scheme andthe preliminary conclusion of Shaanxi provincal expressway communicationsystem. This planning ideas and the preliminary conclusions have guided theregional communication system upgrading of Shannan province. Researchachievements have obtained a certain social economic benefits.
