Double-drum vibratory roller’s technology is the most complex in compactionmachinery. Because it is mainly used for road material compaction, and its specialoperating targets and working conditions make it higher performancerequirements.Especially in recent years, early local damage issues in the road havecaused wide public concern, and such problems are closely related to the performanceof compaction machinery. So it is necessary for us to combine the structure withtechnical characteristics to make much more scientific and specific performance, inorder to guide the process of the double-drum vibratory roller’s design and itspractice.Double drum vibratory roller’s load in normal working conditions is relativelystable and the operating qualities are much easier to control; However, in thestart-stop phases, the dynamic properties are quite complex, in which the inertia loadplays a leading role. The changes of the Inertia load resulting in the hydraulic systemgenerates a great pressure impact, and the inertia load ultimately depends on theengine to provide enough power to overcome, then it will cause the phenomenon ofengine speed fluctuation, thus it leads to the change of the whole machine’s dynamic,which have a direct impact on the double drum vibratory roller’s performance,including its operating quality, the economy and reliability.In this paper, on the basis of experimental analysis, with the way of theoreticalanalysis, simulation analysis in combination, from the operating performance ofdouble drum vibratory roller, we have a deep discussion on the double-drum vibratoryroller from the operating quality, the machine’s reliability, the economy, the comfortand the safety, and we put forward the evaluation standards on the double-drumvibratory roller, so that it will guide the process of the design and their use. In order toimprove the operating quality and the production efficiency, and it can also achieve ahigh integrate between the operating quality and the production efficiency.The standards on the double-drum vibratory roller we have presented in this paper will provide the references to the double-drum vibratory roller’s manufacturersand the construction enterprises, so as to gain a greater economic efficiency and toestablish a more positive market image.
