Research On Highway Geotechnical And Hydrological Divisions Of Shandong Province

Highway is a linear artificial structures which integrates with the surrounding naturalenvironment, affectes by a variety of natural environmental factors and is counterproductivein the natural environment, has obvious geographical features also. The determining oftechnical standards and the scale of investment on the highway has a close direct relationshipwith differences and dynamic of the natural conditions.The National Highway natural divisionstandard which is divided by temperature and humidity indicators is lack of practicality andtargeted in the actual road construction, therefore, it is very necessary to carry out thethird-level provincial highway divisions.Considering the actual needs of Shandong Provincehighway construction, combining with the research framework and research progress of theHighway Natural Division of Shandong Province topics, this paper does someregionalizations in geotechnical and hydrological conditions of Shandong Province, in orderto play a guiding role on the highway construction of Shandong Province.Based on analysising the research status, the paper determines the divisional principles anddivision methods for the highway natural divisions; and analyzes the pretreatment of the basicmap about highway natural division. Based on this, by analysing the impact of Geotechnicalfactors and hydrological factors on highway projects, considering the actual situation inShandong Province, the paper identifies the division index system of highway geotechnicaland hydrological division of Shandong Province., and divides the geotechnical andhydrological conditions in Shandong Province by using ArcGIS technology platform, finallycompleted “The1:2000000Highway Geotechnical Division map of Shandong Province” and“The1:2000000Highway Hydrological Division map of Shandong Province”, and carried outthe partitions description.The research results provides a scientific basis on avoiding disadvantages overplanning,design, building construction, operational conservation and road constructionmaterials selection of highway projects,and provides the basic data for comprehensivehighway natural division of Shandong Province with highway landforms, highway climateand highway landscape Division of Shandong Province which our research group had everfinished. It has an important reference value of the further study of the natural division for otherprovinces and cities in China.
