With the development of the hydropower turbine in China, the design level andmanufacturing technology of turbine have made great progress, and the economicaloperation of the turbine has also been obtained more and more attention. By the turbine’sefficiency test, the turbine can work better with a high efficiency range, to take fulladvantage of the hydraulic resources and bring more economic benefits. The model test ofhydraulic turbine is getting closer to the simulation of the real machine, and even someprototype test can be replaced by it, however, it can not complete the efficiency test of theunit in the Unit Maintenance or Uprating,which has been put into operation. Therefore,the turbine prototypes efficiency test is needed to get the efficiency characteristics of theunit, and provide the basic information and practical basis of the economic operation ofthe hydropowe plants and the entire power grid.This paper adopts the idea of object-oriented to build a set of data acquisition andanalysis system with the Current-Meter method for the test of the hydraulic turbineefficiency. The system consists of two subsystems, that is, Data Acquisition Subsystemand Efficiency Analysis-Synthesis Subsystem. The high precision, the friendly interfaceand the good communication make it a good tool.The Efficiency Analysis-Synthesis Subsystem is developed in the C++Builderplatform, which acquires the data by the communication interface of the Data AcquisitionSubsystem, and processes and analyzes the data, and produces the relation curveaccordingly. This paper designs the structure of the upper-computer software, and thefunction of every module and its implementation, as well as the communication with thebottom-machine. The system is with strong function in graph showing and data analyzing,such as, it can display the waveform of many channels at a time. Finally, the reliability ofthe software is tested with the collected data in the field efficiency test of some actual hydropower station, whose result is that the system values are consistent with the originalexperimental values.The system can be widely used for on-site efficiency test, with alternative testmethods, such as Winter-Kennedy method, Supersonic method, Current Meter method andso on, which has a certain practical significance to improve the economic efficiency andeconomical operation of hydropower plants.
