Intracranial pressure is an important observation index in nerve surgery clinical andscientific research. Antihypertensive measures should be taken when intracranial pressurereaches20mmHg. At present, artificial cerebrospinal fluid drainage exchange method isusually used for treatment of intracranial heighten.According to application requirements of clinical cerebrospinal fluid drainageexchange treatment, integrated intracranial pressure monitor is developed based oncomputer virtual instrument technology. The nurse’s manual operation is substituted forautomatic operation of computer in this monitor which can continuously monitor patients’vital signs parameters and drainage or exchange pathological cerebrospinal fluid accordingto therapeutic schedule regularly and quantitatively. The current intracranial pressure monitoring method and present situation of thestudy are firstly summarized. Then prototype system and indexes are analyzed based onartificial treatment process and requirements. According to system requirements, theprototype system hardware is improved and instrument shell is designed. Then this article introduces the virtual instrument technology system’s softwaredesign process. The software system are based on Visual C++and ACCESS database, which mainly includes the signal acquisition module, the signal processing module, theexception handling module, the database management module, the motion control moduleand the data display module. Multithreading technology is utilized to avoid mutualinterference among each module.Intracranial pressure monitoring, drainage and irrigation experiments are carried outat last. Experiments show that this integrated intracranial pressure monitor can meet thefunction and performance requirements of actual application.
