With the fast development of the whole society and economy in cities,city power system needs more construction and development of cable tunnel.First, from the need, the actual state and the development directions ofpower tunnel construction, this thesis analyses and estimates the developmentprocess and actual level of power tunnel’s surveillance and control system.From the point of complete promoting the construction and managementlevel, it demonstrates the necessary of founding500KV Shibo power tunnel’ssurveillance and control system.The cable tunnel adopts the unattended and automatic mode as its majoroperational mode, the surveillance and control system concludes four systemsof technology guarding,monitoring,temperature detection and fire protection.In the dissertation, following research about cable tunnel surveillanceand control system was covered.1.On the base of learning and reference to site monitoring anddevelopment, this thesis creatively defines “power tunnel’s surveillance andcontrol systems” with “multi-function integrated surveillance and controlsystems using digital sensing technology, microprocessor technology, bustechnology, network communications technology, data and image processingtechnology,multimedia technology and control technology to completeinformation collection, data transmission, processing and comprehensiveintegrated control functions, and to ultimately realize the effectivesurveillance and control to power cables'running state, the environment andvarious auxiliary equipment in a tunnel”.2.Based on the actual cable tunnel structure, environmental characteristics and the specific system functional requirements, according to thedevelopment of industrial fieldbus and Ethernet technology, this thesisidentifies the surveillance and control system should adopt the distributedmixed layered network architecture, and the integrated system should includelocal surveillance and control level and management control level.3.The operation of the power cable real-time monitoring should be the maintask of a power tunnel surveillance&control system which composed bydistributed mixed layered network. At the same time, the system should takeinto account environmental monitoring(including surveillance&control ofair temperature, air content, stagnant water, electricity supply and electricitysupply etc), fire early-warning and fire fight runing, remote videosurveillance, and other functions should be achieved.Finally, based on the above research on the basis of the outcome ofcharacteristics and status of the existing power grid construction, this thesisrealistically puts forward some problems have to meet with the developmentof power tunnel surveillance and control system such as technologybottleneck ploblem,and hope to raise managerial skills of cable tunnelconscientiously.
