A assembled wind trolley was designed by a China railway trade company according tothe special geographical environment of the second double railway of Lanzhou to Xinjiang.Since this trolley is an non-standard equipment, it lacks special design specifications andstandards. Besides, the structure of the trolley usually bears large loads under complicatedoperating conditions. Furthermore, the working conditions of the trolley are harsh. Therefore,a statics finite element analysis of the trolley under typical working conditions is necessary inorder to ensure its safety which has important significance in both theory and practice aspectsand can also save costs at the same time. Above are the purpose of this paper. In this paper, the trolley is taken as a main research object. Based on its practicalcharacteristics and the finite element model, the stiffness, stability and rigidity of trolley, under typical working conditions, are checked and calculated through finite element methods. The results show that the structural static strength and static stiffness and stability of thetrolley met the requirement of the design standards, hence, its good performance and workingsafety can be guaranteed.Secondly, the Optimizing Designing of the trolley under the worst typical workingconditions is undertaken, seeking the best optimal methods in the feasible region, in order toreduce design costs and cycle Maximum and make the trolley design more reasonable. Finally, natural frequency and vibration mode are obtained by the modal analysis whichis the basis of dynamics analysis. the modal analysis of the whole structure could show thenatural frequency and vibration mode of the trolley, The distortion trend is predictable fromthe vibration mode under a certain natural resonance frequency. Therefore, weak parts can bedetermined and strengthened through comparing the distortion trends of each part.. Accordingto the results, the steel arch should be strengthened.Finite element modeling and analysis with ANSYS may save manpower and materialresources and have relatively high calculation and simulation precision which is useful toengineering practice. The study of the finite element analysis methods of this trolley canprovide theoretical foundation and practical guidance for designing the products of the samekind in the future.
