Research On The Types Of The New Media Architecture

Information technology, represented by the computer science and communicationtechnology, developed rapidly since the sixties of last century, it brought about newtechnologies and social concepts which gradually spread to everywhere. Under theinfluence of new technologies and social concepts, modern construction became more andmore characterized by media. Therefore the new media construction came out, it is mainlycomposed by new materials and micro-electronics and information techniques to aim for areprehensive of information. However, since the new media construction is a newoutcome over last ten years, it has various forms with complicated constructions, rightnow we are still lack of related researches internally, and we even don’t have anappropriate evaluation system. A good Classification system is the foundation andimportant prerequisite for carrying out the research of new medium construction. Bycollecting a great deal of typical examples at home and abroad, I’m successful inachieving a deep analysis of the media construction’s developing history and characters indifferent periods. Furthermore, according to the basic theories of technology, I set up aclassification system for the media construction, below is the details:1) Based on the theories of technology and considering the main morphologicalfeatures of the new media construction, we can define that the main influencing factors ofmedium construction are language, media and manners. For media construction,“language” is the way of expressing information. It is the “vocabulary” which analyzingthe media construction by starting with concrete technical equations. Media, as a carrier orplatform, supplies the ways of information dissemination. Via manners, new mediaconstruction is able to control the information’s development and grasp the influencecaused by the involvement of the public.2) According to the actual form, divided the three main types into several subcategories. Language types: optical projection, electronic display classes, mechanical structure, materials technology classes; Media types: indoor space and architectural space,public space series; Communication types: direct expression, interactive communicationclasses.3) Set contains into three major categories, nine subclasses of the classificationsystem of new media, and show the classification system visually in the form ofthree-dimension coordinate graphs. The system has a more comprehensive considerationof the current most of the features of new media, in the collation of new media, withstrong applicability. At the same time, the classification system also based on actual needs,guiding the design of new media projects.Although the classification system of new media in this article has strongapplicability, but with the development of science and technology, new technology, newmaterials, new ideas will continue to emerge, new forms of media architecture and thedevelopment and enrichment of content will follow suit, new media classification systemof the building also needs to constantly expand and improve.
