Flight simulator is a ground equipment of real-time which can simulate various statesand the scene outside cabin, in the areas of aircraft performance, flying qualities, flight controland training pilots and many other fields have more applications, the efficient, economy andsecurity making the flight simulator has a very important value in scientific research andmilitary. Aircraft flight control system play a very important role in improving the overallstability, maneuverability and mobility, directly affect the aircraft’s flight safety and missioncompletion, the flight control system’s simulation results directly affect the overall simulationeffect. Therefore, this article focuses on the flight simulator’s control system design.Firstly, introduce the motion parameters commonly used in the flight. On this basis,according to the theory of small perturbation, model aircraft longitudinal and lateral linearizedequations of motion, and describes the basic knowledge of the atmosphere. In addition,establish McRuer transfer function of the driver model.Secondly, introduct the aircraft longitudinal and lateral flying qualities evaluation criteriafor designing and evaluating in the flight by air control system. After studying the designprinciples of implicit model of optimal quadratic methods and eigenstructure assignmentmethods, respectively using these methods in the Matlab software for the design of aircraft inthe longitudinal and lateral flight control system. In the longitudinal design process, bycomparing the simulation of the curve under different weighting matrix to determine whichfeedback matrix is better, and get the longitudinal flight control system control law ultimately.Lateral design is based on expected values to calculate the actual characteristics of theeigenvalues, and get the feedback matrix to complete the lateral control law design. After dataand simulation analysis, the longitudinal and lateral flight control systems meet the first levelof flying qualities. Meanwhile, this article analyze the simulation results of longitudinal andlateral flight control system.Again, the driver model and instruction model driving system are added into the abovesystem and get longitudinal (pitch, height) and lateral (yaw angle, lateral deviation) trajectorytracking control system. Through simulation analysis, the system can track the aircraftposition and attitude perfectly.Finally, the system in Matlab is transformed into the VC++, create simulator’s visualsimulation system, design three-dimensional simulation model and environment, head-updisplay, dialog boxes of real-time data display. All of this can help pilots get more images and enhance the effect of flight training.
