Presented the means of establishing and perfecting the GIS system of water supply pipe network, accelerating the improvement of the old pipe network, paying more attention to the pipe joints selection and the design of pipeline and the ancillary facilities, guaranteeing pipeline material quality, reducing adverse effect of the pipeline transportation, guaranteeing the pipeline construction quality, raising the pipe network management level, and safeguarding the safe operation of urban pipe network. Through enhancing the water supply emergency repair reaction capability and using new pipe materials and technology positively to guarantee the timeliness and effectiveness.
