With the developments of the computer and computational fluid dynamics(CFD),the numerical wave tank taken the wave-making technology as the importantpart supplies strong technical support and supplies reference about optimized designof the seawall cross-section. The numerical wave-generating technology and thenumerical wave tank are the frontiers technology in thesedays.Coastal hydraulicstructure is important engineering facilities that protect the coastal areas prevent thestorm and wave attacks, and their destructions would lead to serious consequences. Inrecent years, with the influence of sea levels rising by the global warming and stormsurge disasters increasing, under storm action result in overtopping, the destruction ofsea route are increasing, it will face a standard of protection embankment shortage.Theoretically overtopping can be avoided if the crest level of the sea route is enoughheight, but due to the economic reason and foundational restriction and theuncertainties associated with the prediction of the design water levels and the designwaves, therefore it is necessary to consider the allowable overtopping in sea dikedesign.The subject used fluid analysis software-FLUENT, based on viscosity fluidtheory and finite volume method, combined with the RNG κ-ε model, Solved thenavier-stokes equations, proceeded the secondary development for Fluent software, the additivesources in the momentum equation are used to generate and absorb waves, the methodof waves generating and absorbing in the viscous fluid is presented. The2D numericalwave tank which can both generate and absorb waves is built and prove the validity ofthe numerical generate waves. Try to apply it to the numerical simulation wave run upand overtopping in slope dikes, and the different wave parameters influences on waveovertopping rate. At the same time, a review of the literature on the overtopping of seadikes reveals that the structure patterns of sea dikes influence the overtopping rategreatly, overtopping experimental date of structure patterns is collected, then a simply sloped cross of the dike is selected to carry out physical experimentations to studydiversified parameters effecting the overtopping discharge. This paper based on thephysical model experiment done with numerical simulation, and the comparednumerical solution with the experiment results, the calculation results are wellmatched with the calculation results which were got from physical modelexperimental data, which has proved the validity of the numerical simulation methodused in this essay, the study in this paper present some experience for the researchesof the effects of overtopping on the sea dikes.At last to point out that the crest of slope dike border with the landward slope isthe biggest overtopping rate of this place, we should be paid attention to strengthenprotection for this border, which make sure the overall stability of the actualengineering sea dikes.
