The simulation and research of the interaction between wave and Structure is very important for the design of the ship and the offshore platform for the safety of the structure.There are mainly two methods using for waves simulation,potential flow theory and the computational fluid mechanics(CFD)method.The technology of computer has been developed for recently years.The CFD technology also has been widely used because it can accurately simulate the fluid flow.The numerical wave tank is researched and used base on the developed CFD study.The interaction between waves and structures can simulate using numerical wave tank have the advantages of saving manpower,material resources,financial resources.So the research of the numerical wave tank has become an important area of the CFD.In this thesis,the interaction between waves and a large fixed column is simulated.The study includes 4 parts.1)FLUENT is used to simulate the dambreak model test.The RNG k-epsilon viscous model and PISO algorithm is used to calculate the change of the water pressure of the container and the liquid level at different positions in the pool.The results are compared with the experimental data.It is proved that this method can provide a more accurate monitoring of pressure changes and the changes of surface.2)Linear regular wave and bichromatic wave is simulated in the numerical wave tank.Quality source term method and artificial viscous dissipation method are used in the numerical wave tank.The results are compared with the theoretical values,and it is proved that the calculation method can be accurate in the simulation of linear regular wave and bichromatic wave.3)Based on the dam break test and wave generation simulation method,the wave run-up experiment of MARINTEK is simulated.The results show that the method can be used to calculate the height of the wave run-up.4)Based on the experimental simulation of wave run-up,the pressure of the wave is calculated and the load of the structure is predicted.Based on previous studies,the numerical wave tank technique is applied to the calculation of the height of wave run-up and the load of the structure.The result of the simulation proves that the method can be used to simulate the response between waves and structures.This thesis can guide the design of offshore structures.
