With the continuous development of the communication technology and business,the3G era coming, more and more communication apparatus rooms are built, whichmakes the power consumption of the equipment in the apparatus room become moreand more. Because of sharply increasing power consumption of the apparatus room,the number of air-conditioning is becoming more and more, but there are excessheating phenomena of some part apparatus in apparatus room. Therefore, theresearches on the ventilation air conditioning system for communication rooms arefocused at present in the world.In this paper, the accurate support ventilation models under the bench are builtfor measuring change of the different inlet velocity, inlet air temperature, the deviceheat dissipation and the cabinet outlet temperature. The result shows that when otherparameters keeps the consistent and the inlet velocity is smaller, the temperatureupper part of the cabinet is higher the downer part. With the wind velocity increasing,the outlet temperature of the cabinet decrease; when the heat dissipation is moderate,it is recommended to take into the wind velocity near1.4m/s. when cabinet inlettemperature is increased, the outlet air temperature is with the increase, and the trendsof measurement points’ temperature remained the same with the inlet temperature,but the air temperature should keep in the low temperature ranges (15~18℃) as muchas possible, to ensure that the air temperature can meet the requirements; whenreducing the size of the cabinet air inlet, the cabinet the air temperature increases, andwhen the cabinet inlet velocity and heat dissipation are changed, the trends of outletsection temperature distribution change. The heat in cabinet should be around4000w,it is best not to exceed5000w, which ensure the outlet air temperature meet thespecification requirements.Based on the experiment, the computational fluid dynamics software—fluent isused to simulate airflow and temperature in a single cabinet. Simulation results showthat: when the inlet velocity u is2m/s, the cabinet outlet air temperature issignificantly much lower than the inlet velocity u=0.99m/s, which can better serve toreduce the temperature inside the cabinet and meet the cooling requirements for the communication apparatus; comparing between simulation and experimental results,they are agree well with a maximum error≤10%, which indicates that simulationresults obtained from using FLUENT software have the high reliability...
