Textile is one of the support industries of China, Which contributes a lot to the economy growth every year. As China enters the World Trade Organization , the textile products of our country will have more and more chance to join the competition of international textile market. So how to improve product quality and reduce production cost is the key problem to the textile corporation at present. Textile production should be carried out under certain environment conditions, so it is very important to create a good room environment. As the development of air-conditioning technology, it is possible to make steady environment for the textile room and the textile corporations start to attach more and more importance to the effect of air-conditioning system.Weaving is an important process in textile production, and the requirement of temperature and humidity in weaving room is very strict. There are several air supplying modes used in weaving room, which can lead to different flow organizations. What textile corporations care about are the effects of temperature and humidity above the weaving machine and the energy cost of the air-conditioning system. The purpose of this paper is to calculate the flow organizations of various air supplying modes and analyze the energy cost conditions so that the best air supplying mode of air-conditioning system in weaving room will be shown after the research.FLUENT, the most widely used CFD software, is utilized in this paper to do the numerical simulations of various air supplying modes. This paper shows the charts of velocity, temperature and humidity and the analyses of the results. Otherwise, an experiment about flow organization of the air-conditioning system in weaving room is also shown. The results of the experiment and simulation are very similar, and the error between them is within the range which is acceptable in the engineering. It proves that the using of numericalsimulation method in weaving air-conditioning is feasible.When air-conditioning system start running, the conditions in and out of the room are both changing all the time, so the adjustment after design and installation is also very important. There are two adjusting method, one is manual while another is automatic. Manual adjustment depends on the experience of the maintenance worker, and automatic adjustment is running by programming. This paper introduces the basic theory of running adjustment and the research of air-conditioning automation.Textile corporations always have huge production capacity but low profit, so the price competition in the whole textile market is very fierce. The company who wants to have the upper hand on price should first think about how to reduce the production cost. The energy cost of air-conditioning equipment is very considerable, so how to reduce that cost is also a hot issue. In this paper energy cost calculation and compare are done between several air supplying modes. The results make out that Loomsphere system can use less energy than only room air supplying system. But once displacement ventilation and local air supplying system are using together in weaving room, the energy cost will be least of all. So the author believes this kind of air supply system can be effective to the energy saving program of textile corporations in the future.The content of this paper is concerned with the knowledge of HVAC, Textile and Automation and it is a whole research on air-conditioning system in weaving room.
