COGAG power plant will been a broad application prospect unit of marine power in the future,it cansuitable for large range working condition,has good maneuver performance and high single power density.COGAG power plant system’s capability directly affects ships operation performance and mobility,studying the system’s parallel method and stepout control laws has an important guiding significance toMarine power plant design.This paper uses the Matlab/Simulink software to study the COGAG propulsion system’s dynamiccharacteristic, matching among hull-engine-propeller, the speed characteristic, which has been equipped ona ship. The concrete research work is as follows:1. This paper study the COGAG power plan’s composition and run mode, and familiar with thesystem’s operating characteristics.2. Establish the non-linear dynamic simulation model of gas turbine with Matlab simulation software.According the mathematical model of parallel gear box and S.S.S clutch to build simulation model, andestablish the stand-alone single-propeller and dual single-propeller simulation model of COGAG.3. Build fuzzy PID control algorithm-based fuel controller for fuel controller, which achieved thedesired control performance by commissioning, and achieved good control effect.4. The dynamic simulation study of Operating conditions on the COGAG was performed based on an8000-tonship with system model, the turner operating points and operating rules were got. According to theanalysis of these rules, a control strategy was generated, and the simulation model of the vehicle controllerwas build with the Matlab/Simulink software platform.5. According to the combine, splitting and switch simulations of dual gas turbine propulsion system,the pros and cons of COGAG control strategies were validated. The results provide technical support forCOGAG.6. Through the simulation, we got endurance map under different speed, and the best operating pointand the best economic speed under different operating modes. The results obtained were analyzed to verifythe rationality of the turner operating point.
