As the ships become bigger and more complex, combined power plant are now widely used on board ships. Due to the advantages of flexibility and convenient management, COGAG power plant has been paid much attention in many countries. Because there are many control problems when two or more gas turbines work together, it is necessary to study the dynamic characteristics of the COGAG system.This paper mainly work on the study of characteristics of COGAG power plant and the main method is hardware-in-the-loop simulation. Hardware-in-the-loop simulation is more credible because there are physical part in the simulation loop. As the gas turbine is simulated by a motor, the cost is reduced.The work this paper has finished is list as below:1.Building a dynamic model of the gas turbine on LabVIEW platform based on nonlinear method.2.Modifying the motor control system so the torque control of the motor is achieved.3.Building the PXI measurement and control system and the software system of the COGAG hardware-in-the-loop simulation. The software system includes man-machine interface, gas turbine simulation module; PXI measurement and control system includes signal acquisition system, motor torque control signal output.4.Study on the COGAG control strategy and make the whole control system of the simulation.5.Establishing the COGAG hardware-in-the-loop simulation.The simulation results indicates that the control strategy meets the requirements of the COGAG simulation, and the simulation results can be a reference of the real COGAG system.
