| Flood disaster has a significant influence on human social progress and economicdevelopment, and it is one of the world’s worst natural disasters. China is a flood pronecountry, and flood which has a high frequency and spreads widely, are always ferocious anddestructive with posing a great threat on people’s lives and property. Especially in the townsand villages region where economic level is relatively backward, a large number of ruralbuildings are severely damaged or collapsed when the flood hits. Such as ‘75.8’ Henan flood,with5.24million houses collapsed;‘98’Yangtze River floods, with2,128,500housescollapsed;‘03’Huaihe River floods, with187,200houses collapsed; June2010, FujianLongyan flood,with107towns and nearly5,000houses collapsed. The main purpose of this text: analyze residential damage mechanism under the conditionof flood in order to guide practice through the survey on the flood destruction phenomenon ofbuildings in the towns and villages. The following aspects of work are carried out.1. Data collection: Based on collection and survey of flood disaster of rural buildings andcombined with scholars’ theoretical study at home and abroad, this paple analyzes failurephenomena and mechanism of rural buildings and comes to three kinds of failure modes ofrural buildings often occurred in the flood. Finally, based on the failure mechanism of ruralbuildings in flood, this paper concludes theformula of erosion depth at rural building’s corner.2. Experimental research: Based on the interaction of flood and village residence model, through study on five different tests, the experiment analyzes the different flood conditions, the flood pressure village buildings suffered, strain distribution, and the effects of differentforms of housing structure and foundation to resist flood. The results show that:(1) Withdifferent masonry adhesive material, the models’ failure modes and mechanisms are different, but the walls’ piezometric pressure on the upstream face and the relationship of water level andpiezometric pressure are the same, with the distribution according to certain rules.(2) Themasonry methods and foundation form have a significant influence on the model’s resistanceto water erosion.(3) Reasonable reinforcement measures can improve the anti-floodperformance of buildings.3. Finite element analysis: Based on ANSYS and the experiment study, by choosingappropriate finite element model and the correct material parameters, the study makesnumerical analysis on the sixth models without reinforcement. Through the comparison ofdifferent force characteristics analysis before and after reinforcement of the models, this paper concludes that rural buildings with the carbon fiber (CFRP) reinforcement measures havebeneficial effects on anti-flood. |
