Reaserch On Passageway Space Quantization Characteristic In Jiangnan Private Gardens

Passageway has formed a unique expression and construction techniques in the long development. With the characteristics of rich diversity and fusion of feelings and the natural setting, it has become an integral part of the traditional garden, so its role is irreplaceable. However, in the large size individual buildings and large scale group of buildings, passageway usually is used as a subsidiary part or connected components of those, which little exists as a separate building. So people are too accustomed to pay attention to it. There are few researches on passageway of the classical gardens at home, they are mostly described from aesthetic aspect, lacking objective data. Systematic quantitative research is still scarce. Quantizing the passageway space of Chinese traditional gardens will deep understand to the Chinese traditional park. Inheriting tradition is foundation of creation, and what tradation acting on modern with is a worthy problem, which also is the basic point of this research.From the foundation of the past study, this paper makes several following progresses through spot investigation and systemic theoretic analysis and research:(1) This paper sets up an elementary academic system of passageways space quantization in Jiangnan private gardens that includes the theories and methods of comparation of passaways of chinese and western construction, Gestalt Psychology, Topology, Hierarchical cluster analysis, correlation analysis,etc. Hope it has a certain use for reference to research and construct quantization of Chinese classic gardens.(2)This paper investigates and measures passageways of10Jiangnan private gardens of Suzhou, Yangzhou, Nanjing and Wuxi from structure, function, classification, primitive space and expanding space to fully understand the status of passageways in private landscape architecture.(3) This paper explores types and features of passageway space composition with10Jiangnan private gardens as examples, using SPSS13.0software with hierarchical cluster analysis approach, thus obtains classification of garden and finds underlying reasons of category formation. Meanwhile, according to analysis of the results of the garden classification, it summarizes the three characteristics of passageway.(4)In this paper, primitive passageway spaces are studied from the psychological and behavioral activity in passageways. Quantization algorithm about Open degree and "visit-practicability" of passageway space are studied, and they are found that there existed a significant positive relation by correlation analysis method. Human behavior activities conclude longitudinal dynamic activity and transverse static events in passageway spaces, and this paper studies landscape and human interaction connected by passageways in the private courtyard space.(5) This paper deduces the mathematics relation bewteen origin space and expanded space of passageways as studying theorical foundation of expanded space of passageways, then reaserches related relation each other, topological active analysis of the space entity factor of gallery and characteristics of expanded space of passageways.
