With the accelerating of urbanization, building height and density increasedcontinuously, and it would also have a signification influence on wind environmentoutdoor. Residential building wind environment outdoor is one of the importantfactors, including two aspects: residential architectural wind environment outdoor andindoor natural ventilation. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the layout ofarchitectural complex to improve the wind environment outdoor in the residentialbuilding design stage.We can also adjust the existing building layout to improve thewind environment, for example, take the action of the first layer overhead to thearchitectural complex. At the same time, to building wind comfort evaluation,especially the pedestrian height level wind comfort evaluation is the important aspectsof green building design, wind comfort evaluation of wind environment quality is animportant criterion for the wind comfort evaluation, and it mainly uses at the height ofthe2main characteristics of air environment for the pedestrian field, wind speed andwind pressure. And the area outside of the building around flow field distribution ishardly to be measured in practical engineering, it also needs to cost a large amount ofmoney to do the wind tunnel experiment, however, the computer can be convenient tomake a numerical simulation for the wind field of residential building, get thedistribution characteristics of the outdoor wind speed and wind pressure, so this paperuses the method of numerical simulation on the outside of the building around flowfield. The specific research contents are as follows:(1) It introduced the wind characteristics of the atmospheric boundary layer,and also interpreted the basic theory of building wind environment. (2)According to the numerical simulation theory, the non-uniform structuredgrid and the standard k model were elected for the computational domain, andentrance boundary conditions take the style of velocity gradient index distribution,near wall using wall function method, to calculate the outdoor wind speed andpressure distribution of a single building, and take for comparisons with the results ofwind tunnel experiments to verify the reliability and effectiveness of the numericalsimulation method.(3)For the detail and natural factors that influenced the outdoor air flowdistribution around the architecture: the level of residential construction, buildinggroup interval, the orientation of the building and natural wind gradient distribution,would impact the flow field around the outside twin buildings, and also evaluated thewind comfort for the part of the building area.(4)Focus on the three different layouts of the areas of central and SouthernDistrict Building (determinant, staggered and types) are numerically simulated, andtake the architecture layout of the enclosed one for the first layer overhead, thesimulation results showed that the flow field after taking the first layer overhead isstable, did not produce obvious eddy, and the wind comfort has been greatlyimproved.
