With the continuous development of city modernization, building shape and architectural layout have become the important factors influencing the wind-energy utilization in built environment. The research about architectural layout is of great significance, because the flow pattern is more complicated with the mutual interference between adjacent buildings. On the perspective of wind-energy utilization, the wind-energy collection efficiency of buildings in different kinds of plane arrangement and vertical arrangement were studied, and simple analysis about the influence to wind field caused by vertical axis wind-turbines rotating was carried.The wind-energy utilization in built environment influenced by plane arrangement was first studied. With the aid of the computational fluid dynamics method, the numerical simulation was implemented on wind field around buildings in seven different kinds of plane arrangement. Wind-energy utilization both on the roof and along the side of buildings was analyzed, and the wind velocity beside buildings influenced by variety shapes was compared. So that the plane arrangement and building shape which benefit wind-energy utilization were summarized.What’s more, the wind field around two buildings in series was studied. By changing the building elevation difference, spacing, width and roof form, the key factor influencing wind velocity on the roof of target building was found.In order to study the wind flow in the built environment after integrating wind turbines, the two-dimensional numerical simulation about the rotating of a small vertical axis wind-turbine was made, with the help of sliding mesh method. The wind field distribution was analyzed and the relation between wake velocity and tip speed radio of wind-turbine was summarized.Finally, Hangzhou citizen center in Qianjiang new city was chosen as a model, and the wind field around it was simulated. Some special places with large wind velocity were chosen to do further analysis and optimization proposals about building height were put forward.
