The Research Of Waterscape Construction In Southeastern Area Of Chongqing

The development of modern economy and transportation makes the structure of ancient town changed. Railway and highway as new means of transportation promote the development of tourism and tourist route along the river, instead, the original water traffic gradually declined. In the development of ancient town, water definitely plays an important role in terms of transportation, production, and landscape ecological effect. Although many research of ancient town in the southeast of Chongqing has been conveyed recently, there is still a lack of systematic study on the waterscape construction in the entire area.This article analyzes the value of waterscape construction research of ancient town in the southeast of Chongqing; studies in-depth the content of the waterscape construction inside and out of the town based on field surveys and a large number of literature material reference, combining ecology and aesthetic theory. According to the space relationship between ancient town and river, the waterscape construction can be divided into two types---point and line. This article focuses on the waterscape construction of the landscape elements along the town boundary from the view of functional and ornamental landscape. Besides, it also analyzes the waterscape construction of storm passage, streets space, courtyard space, and other micro elements inside the town.This article not only analyses the situation of the town’s water pollution and ecological environment destruction, but also summarizes some good methods of waterscape construction, based on the study of towns in the southeast of Chongqing. Combining the experience learned from the outstanding waterscape construction form in Chinese ancient water towns and LA researches, this article proposes some suggestions on how to build more suitable mountain inhabited environment and water landscape.
