Research On The Vitality Construction Of The Boundary Space Of The Core Area Of Chongqing Cultural Protection Ancient Town

As the bearer of history and culture,ancient towns have undoubted conservation value.With the conservation and utilization of historic towns,three typical models have been created,the new model of imitation,the functional transformation type and the cultural preservation type that focuses on preservation,protection and repair,and preserves the original way of life of ancient towns as much as possible and respects the wishes of residents.A large number of cultural preservation type ancient towns are facing a series of problems of hollowing out and declining vitality due to development restrictions.Chongqing ancient towns with unique natural environment and diverse humanities background,in the development process due to geographic,traffic,economic and other factors,the development of ancient towns are mostly cultural preservation type.For this type of cultural protection type of ancient town,the core area boundary space as the core protection area and the surrounding environment between the transition space,is the ancient town core area and the surrounding space between the bridge to protect the core area and the role of intermediary transition,in the ancient town is very important.Therefore,in the process of protection and development of ancient towns,in order to preserve the original state and further develop as much as possible,and to enhance the spatial vitality of the town,this paper proposes to take the core area boundary space as the development object and explore the strategy of creating the vitality of the boundary space.Taking the Chongqing area as an example,the paper discusses and analyzes the creation of vitality of the boundary space in the core area of the culturally protected ancient town based on the relevant research theories of boundary space and spatial vitality.The first is the exploration of the overall characteristics of the boundary space of Chongqing’s culturally protected ancient towns.Combing the basic overview and development mode of Chongqing ancient towns and taking the ancient towns with good protection,a certain degree of urbanization development and regional differences as criteria,Longtan,Longxing and Baisha ancient towns are selected as representative cases to explore the development process,basic attributes and overall vitality characteristics of the boundary space of Chongqing’s culturally protected ancient towns.The second is to analyze the vitality characteristics of different types of boundary spaces.According to the three ancient towns of Longxing,Longtan and Baisha,the composition and vitality characteristics of the boundary space are analyzed,and the boundary space in the core area of the ancient town is divided into five categories according to the use function: commercial activity,social transportation,cultural continuity,residential interaction and natural continuity,and the basic characteristics of each category of boundary space and the distribution of each type in the case ancient town are analyzed and summarized,and The actual vitality of each type of boundary space is counted separately through the heat map big data,and the vitality characteristics of different types of boundary spaces are analyzed.The third is the analysis of the specific vitality creation elements in the boundary space.According to the existing basic theories and research results on spatial vitality,the four elements of spatial vitality,namely accessibility,functional business mode,cultural elements and green landscape,are selected in combination with the characteristics of the border space in the core area of the ancient town.Using multi-source data,combined with Depthmap,Arc GIS and other analysis platforms,quantitative analysis,visual analysis and correlation analysis with the actual spatial vitality of the case ancient town core area boundary space vitality creation elements,summarize the distribution of each vitality element in the case ancient town and the correlation between each vitality element and the external representation of spatial vitality.Fourthly,based on the theoretical discussion and quantitative analysis,the principles and strategies for creating the vitality of the boundary space of the cultural preservation ancient town in Chongqing are proposed.In the process of vitality creation,the boundary space should comply with the principles of wholeness,mixture and moderation.The space vitality creation strategy is mainly discussed from three aspects:the foundation of boundary space vitality creation,various types of boundary space vitality creation strategies and boundary space vitality promotion methods.Firstly,according to the characteristics of the border space itself,it is proposed that the border space needs to play the role of protecting the core area of the ancient town and mediating the transition,which is the basis for the existence of the border space and the creation of vitality;secondly,the source of vitality is the diversified border space,and according to the characteristics of different types of border space,the vitality creation goals and strategies for each type of space are proposed;finally,according to the corresponding research on the elements of vitality creation,it is proposed to optimize the road system,signage Finally,according to the elements of vitality creation,we propose methods to promote the vitality of border spaces,such as optimizing the road system and signage system,optimizing the distribution and composition of functional businesses,protecting and reasonably using cultural elements,and improving the green landscape of the town.Overall,this paper analyzes the spatial vitality of the boundary space of Chongqing’s culturally protected ancient towns by summarizing the basic characteristics of the boundary space and the vitality characteristics,so as to propose a strategy for creating the vitality of the boundary space of Chongqing’s culturally protected ancient towns.It is hoped that this can be used as one of the ways to protect and develop the culturally protected ancient town,and to drive the development of the ancient town by creating a positive boundary space in the core area while protecting the ancient town.
