A tower is one of contemporary landmark high-rise buildings. Due to its complex anddiverse structure, special concrete structures and pumping technology for high-rise buildingsare required. And unique design style and structure of construction systems are also required. Therefore, the construction technology of this tower was faced with many challenges. Themain contents and results of this paper are as follows.1. The double curved skewed network structure applied for this tower leads to too many"X" nodes and sepecification of bars. It also results in the construction problems ofmanufacture and high precision installation. During the construction process, the "entities"pre-assembly techniques in the factory and "computer simulation" pre-assembly techniquesare used together. The acceptance of components by total stations and computer virtual fittingtechnology are applied together. These techniques can be ensured the high-precision quality ofthe whole process. Moreover, the oblique straight tube in each regional are positioned by a"double board jointing and self-balancing" technology, which solves the problem ofinstallation and temporary positioning.of long and overweight.steel tube.2. As for the concrete pumping technology for high-rise building, the key issue is that theconcrete must have a performance of low viscosity and high resistance to segregation. Andthe outlet pressure of concrete for the high pressure pump must be enoughly large to ensurethe requirements of pumping speed and capacity. Therefore, an Ultra High-strength andPerformance Concrete (UHPC) and a C100Ultra High Performance Self-CompactingConcrete (UHP-SCC) are developed. And a high pressure pump by Zoomlion is used to carryout the concrete to333m and411.7m in the height, which is a first successful example ofconcrete construction industry in the world.3. It was a great challengef of construction technology for the integral lift formworksystem due to the comlex stuture and poor stability of main tower core ture. The appliedintegral lift formwork system is consisted of power and control system, support system, steelplatform, hanger system, template system, and vertical transportation system. This lift systemcan achieve100mm/min arising speed and1mm difference of synchronization control. Thistechnology was dominated in the domestic and international field4. This tower applies all-hidden glass wall system, leading to the difficulties of walllifting. Therefore, lifts are used for transporting the wall plate under70floors. While the layeris above70floors, the wall plates are firstly transported to70floor, and then transported tothe install floor by a elevating drum, which can achieve good result. Construction process is shown that the overall construction project of this tower isadvanced and measures are effective to ensure the smooth construction. It provides asuccessful example for the construction of domestic and international high-rise buildings. Andhence it has prospects for promotion.
