Today, as China’s rapid economic development and rapid expansion of urbanareas，land resources has become a key factor for urban development. Campus aspart of the city, the rational use of land resources, to adapt to future sustainablebuilding has become very urgent. The one hand, the campus needsreasonable layout design, consider the long-term development in order to saveresources, intensive construction. On the other hand, we should be focus on theefficient sharing of resources and emphasis on campus multi-level communicatedemand and human environment by functional and space design, to make the campusreally show the diverse and open energy.This thesis focuses on the planning and design on university teaching area baseon composite under the order of the system, adhering to a holistic, people-centereddesign principles, in order to arrive at the design strategies. The beginning of thearticle through literature review and theoretical study concluded research basis,theories and meaning. Followed by some instances research and theoretical summary,studied the influencing factors and type of the layout, further research on theiradaptation and layout strategies. Then, study the planning and design of functions andspace of the teaching area on university campus to the composite as a basic point. Thefourth chapter analyzes the functional composite, characteristics and their correlation,and analyzed its way and level, obtained the relevant strategies and proved throughexamples and practice. Then the fifth chapter explained the meaning of the spacecompound and its relationship with functional composite in order to clear the mainbody of their research.
