The Design Of City Traffic Simulation Platform Based On TransModeler

The traffic simulation technology has become a kind of effective means solving the traffic problems.This paper establishes traffic simulation platform the based on the TransCAD and TransModeler, designs microscopic simulation model process, sets up virtual traffic simulation network, simulates vehicle operation, and In a virtual traffic environment,the author implemented a different traffic management plan, providing decision-making basis for managers through the output data to compare projects effect.In order to reduce the average delay of vehicles, enlarge the network capacity, improve the use rate of transport facilities,we proposes four optimization solutions that setting of bus lanes, optimization control scheme based on intersection, bus priority signal timing, transit signal priority.Then we quantitative analysis the effect of optimization using the comparative method, illustrate the advantage of the optimization scheme combining with the qualitative analysis, draw the corresponding conclusion. Simulation results of the Huaguang Road, Liuquan road, Center Road, CYL road and Partial intersections show that:set up bus lanes do reduce the bus delays,however it increases the delay of social vehicles and intersection congestion degree;Signal coordination control scheme not only enhance the capacity of the arterial traffic but also reduce travel’s waiting time;According to the intersection of LiuQuanLu hua road transport vehicle flow distribution,optimize the signal timing of the intersection,results show that the average vehicle delay is improved and the per capita delay is minimum,Zhangdian District Simulation Platform provide a experimental of the virtual environment which can be used to optimization the scheme,through the simulation we can find the more reasonable optimization scheme,so we can say the building of the simulation platform reach the social benefit and economic benefit of a win-win situation.
