The Application Of TransCAD Simulation Technology For Traffic Study In Shenzhen Qianhai Area

In current time of the urban construction and further accelerating development, the traffic simulation technology determines the efficient traffic organization, the balance of traffic crossing system, the harmonious urban planning, the land use, and so on. It is clear that the study of traffic simulation will play an important role in urban planning and construction for traffic infrastructure in the future.Based on the systematic introduction and the comparison of traffic and transportation simulation software, according to the planning of Shenzhen Qianhai Area as the Pearl River Delta's CBD in the future, through GIS-based TransCAD software with the features of storage, extraction, analysis and visualization for all types of traffic and transportation systems, the paper forecasts the traffic planning and the distribution by four-stage method and provides the basis data for further traffic planning and construction in Shenzhen Qianhai area.Based on the investigation and analysis of Shenzhen western port traffic, passenger and vehicles, the paper outlines the basic characteristics of the modern port traffic activities. Through the traffic study by forecasting the passenger and vehicles, the paper presents a new traffic planning, which it can be directly applied for Shenzhen Qianhai area to optimize the overall efficient traffic ability.
