Since the vehicle’s inception, with the start of the industrial revolution, the global manufacturing industry, sustainable development, and the electronic control technology in automobile industry application, the car retains the quantity increases continuously, the Chinese economy developed area development embodied, led to the inevitable result is the deterioration of the environment and traditional increasingly tense energy. Liquefied petroleum gas (Liquefied Petroleum Gas-LPG) has the advantages of low cost, high calorific value, antiknock good features, but does not lead, sulfur and other impurities, is a promising alternative fuel for automobile. So the LPG fuel research has a good engineering application prospect.This paper firstly LPG gas system of the three generation of development to be described, introduces the development of gas dual fuel vehicle involved in the components of the system, working principle and the action in the system; LPG gas system can be divided into the air supply system and the control system two, air supply system including gas cylinders, the combination valve, evaporator valve, gas jet rail and waterway, the control system includes LPG ECU, sensors and actuators.Secondly, based on the dual fuel vehicle development process introduced LPG modified car related standards and patents, the modified LPG car to the normative and feasibility; details of the LPG gas system gas road design and layout, LPG gas system circuit design and layout, design and development of independent ECU, LPG gas system water arrangement and LPG ECU control wire harness; and from the point of view of engineering, the modified desired change, new components (cylinders in the evaporation pressure reducing valve stent) for finite element analysis of mechanical properties, the use of reliable.Finally, analysis of the modified LPG bi-fuel vehicle performance changes, embodied in the dynamic and economic performance; based on the power and economy based on GT-DRIVE, using modified LPG/gasoline dual fuel vehicle performance simulation analysis, the calculation result, the LPG/gasoline dual fuel automobile performance to achieve the desired target.
