The Study On Campus Landscape Design In Northeast Universities

In recent years, with the enrollment expansion of universities, the construction of campuslandscape is very flourishing. Universities pay much attention to extension, building andreconstruction, but pay little attention to the construction of campus landscape. In theNortheast of China, winter is much longer and very cold. The universities there have verydifferent geographical conditions, climates and history from many other universities. Thusthose universities should do everything to show their own characteristics.This paper studies the linery development of human thoughts with the methods offinding out, analyzing and solving problems. Chapter One introduces the significance of thisstudy and present research status both home and abroad. The methods and contents of thisstudy are also displayed in this chapter. Chapter Two defines campus landscape in universitiesand limits the random of study. Regional characters are analyzed and the key barrier inblocking the construction of campus landscape in northeast universities are displayed. Withthe writer’s field study all problems in the construction of campu landscape in northeastuniversities are generalized and the reasons are found out. Chapter Three gives a detailedanalysis of component elements in campus landscape in north-east universities, includingnatural landscape, road landscape, ground landscape, campus square landscape, culturallandscape and so on, the representative characters of which and the application in specialgeographical conditions are fully explored, hoping that their strengths could be fully appliedin others universities. Based on the first three chapters, in Chapter Four, the writer putsforward some referential opinions on campus landscape in northeast universities. Theconclusion is also drawn in this part. The construction of campus landscape in north-eastuniversities should put emphasis on regional characters and pay attention to the handing-downof history, the union of campus landscape and city construction. Individualism and winterlandscape should be advocated.This paper is based on great field study in many north-east universities. The writervisited those universities, took pictures and went through a lot of literature on landscapeconstruction. There would be some drawbacks and mistakes. The paper is for reference forcampus landscape construction in north-east universities.
