To get the bearing life parameters and the life characteristics, statisticalmethods need to be used to handle the bearing data. In general experimentalconditions, the bearing failure data will be increasingly difficult to obtain. In the test,less failure, a single failure or no failure, etc. are often appeared. Bayes method andsequential test method are used to handle these problems. Finally, the correspondingprogram and interface are made to calculate the bearing life parameters and the lifecharacteristics.Firstly, the source of the subject, bearing evaluation model and theoreticalmethods are illustrated. The common methods of bearing life assessment are given.Bearing life is obeyed to the Weibull distribution. On this basis, the main contents ofthis paper are given.Secondly, the definition of life bearings, test principles, life and calculationmodel are discussed. The relationship of the reliability, failure probability, failure rate,life expectancy and other indicators of Weibull distribution model are discussed. Thephysical significance and geometric meaning of the shape parameter are discussed.Shape parameter of the distribution, the research situation and the problems werereviewed. Finally, the bearing life Bayes evaluation method, including evaluation ofthe theoretical basis of Bayes and sequential test method are discussed.Thirdly, Bayes point estimation and interval estimation methods and proceduresare discussed. The bearing life distribution shape parameter, reliability, reliable lifeexpectancy and life expectancy of the point estimation and confidence interval aregiven, when the failures of the bearings are less than national standard but more thanone set.What is more, the bearing sequential steps are based on the theory of thesequential method and steps in the sequential test. It is focused on the shapeparameter between the acceptance probability and rejection probability. Finally, thechanges on the probability of acceptance and rejection are quantitative analyzed bysimulation experiments on the shape parameters.At the same time, the previous theories and methods on the case of small sample size are used to evaluate the reliability of rolling bearings, according to the failures ofHangzhou Bearing Test and Research Centre.Finally, based on MATLAB GUI design and implementation, rolling bearingreliability evaluation software system is made. The contents and the results obtainedare summarized, and the future research directions are proposed.
