Study On The Assessment And Construction Of The Artistic Conception Of Soundscape In Urban Park

With the improvement of living standards, people pay more and more attention to thequality of life, and then the surrounding landscape. Urban park as the important place ofleisure and closing to nature of citizen in the modern city, the landscape planning and designis concerned greatly. However, in the past, design of urban park landscape often only stay inthe level of visual elements, ignoring the impact of auditory, olfactory and other sensoryelements for people to understand and feel the landscape. In recent years, Chinese scholarsand designers have come to realize that this problem and start studying the concept ofsoundscape and putting it into practice. To Chinese classical gardens, although there is nosystematically concept of soundscape system, but the soundscape with the unique aestheticfeeling and the blending of emotion and environment is one of the most distinguishingfeatures in the world, we should be more in-depth study.In analyzing the sound environment at home and abroad on the basis of relevantresearch and combining the theories of the sound circumstance’s construction of TraditionalChinese Gardens, paper will introduce the methods of soundscape deign to urban park. First,describes the concepts of soundscape, the effect of soundscapegraphy, the elements ofsoundscape and the mutual relations of components, and the creating practices of the Chineseclassical garden soundscape design. Then, found out the features of soundscape and make anobjective evaluation in Donghu Park and Nanhu Park in March, April and May,2011,according to survey and investigation, measuring the sound level each period in the two parks.After that, chooses Semantic Differential Scale to assess soundscape of park subjectively,found out the favorite voices in parks, and proves the relationship between soundscape andthe overall landscape. According to the subjective assessment to soundscape in every viewspot from tourists, planning the soundscape block of view spots with cluster analysis, foundthat the soundscape block matches the functional block basically. We made asoundscapegraphy of these two parks using the GIS, and analyze the status of the parksoundscape based on sound objective evaluation and subjective data, and the correlationbetween the subjective and objective data. Finally, through the study of western landscapetheory and method of soundscape design in Chinese classical garden, combined the status of urban park soundscape design in our country, we summarize the principles, steps andsoundscape artistic creation of urban park.Based on research of soundscape in urban Park, hope to bring more design elements andthe new entry point for the wealth of landscape design, so as to strengthen the harmoniousrelationship between people and environment.
