With the development of control technology and information technology, vehiclecontrol system turns into be more and more complex, and vehicle network provide acommunication platform for vehicle control system. In this paper, a vehicle comfortcontrol network is designed according to CAN specification, LIN specification,network management specifications and diagnostic protocols, and the simulation andhardware-in-the-loop are taken to test and evaluate this network.A comprehensive analysis is conducted to the diagnostic protocol, unifieddiagnostic services specification and calibration protocol. A brief introduction tobasic concept, application fields and implementation methods of various protocolsand specifications is presented in this paper.Considering the function and cost requirements of vehicle comfort controlsystem, a scheme of comfort control network based on CAN/LIN hybrid network isproposed, and topology of network is designed. Referring to the OSI model, CAN/LINcommunication protocols, including the data link layer and application layer isdeveloped Network nodes real-time monitoring and network lifetime management isimplemented based on OSEK indirect network management. According to themechanism of go-to-sleep and wake-up of LIN bus, a network management scheme ofLIN sub-networks is developed. Referring to diagnose protocol based on CANnetwork, the process of diagnostic services, message requesting specification andfunctions of diagnostic communication is investigated, and a diagnostic scheme ispresented.In order to validate the designed comfort network, functional simulation andperformance test of the network using the bus test platform which is developed byCANoe are carried out. This network is also tested in hardware-in-the-loop benchwith BCM in loop. Results show that the network works stability, and meet therequirements of network load and real-time.
