Rolling-coupling is a patented technology developed in the national scientific and technological research project. It’s a new kind of flexible coupling with unique structure and good transmission performance. Special to the problem that the research on design theory of rolling-coupling is not perfect, the rule of influence on mechanical properties and transmission characteristics by the fact of structure parameters, misalignment working condition are not clear, the mechanical and misalignment transmission characteristics of rolling-coupling are analyzed and parametric design method is bult in this paper, that provides a valuable theoretical basis for the design, analysis and application of rolling-coupling finally. The main the work are summarized as follows:According to the Hertz theory, The contact mechanics model of rolling and raceway is bult, and the theoretical calculation method of the elastic contact stress and elastic deformation of roller and raceway are obtained. Basis on this, the the contact strength is calculated, and the influence of structural parameters of the roller and raceway on the contact strength is researched. Using the software of Ansys, the the finite element model of the half coupling is bult, and the stress under the rated load is calculated. The law of rotational speed, keyway position and structure dimensions influenced on the stress of half coupling are obtained. Those efforts provide a theoretical basis for the half coupling strength design.Then the model of coupling force between half-couplings is developed by the coupling matrix method. Using the lumped parameter method, the vibration equation of misalignment rolling-coupling rotor system is obtained and solved to study the rolling-coupling misalignment transmission characteristics, which provides theoretical support for the misalignment design and misalignment characteristics analysis of the rolling-coupling.Based on the study above-mentioned, combined the software of Matlab and Ansys APDL, the rolling-coupling is parametric designed. And a software for rolling-coupling parametric desgin is developed, which provided a design and analysis tool for the rolling-coupling’s design and promotion.Finally, stress of the rolling-coupling, under simulation rated load conditions, is measured by the electrical measurement method. Through the contrast analysis of the experiment result and numerical calculation result, it’s proved that the result of numerical calculation is accuracy.The research results will improve the design level and shorten the design cycle of rolling coupling which has important theory significance and project application value.
