This paper first expounds the severe tests faced by various tire manufacturers and research institutes in terms of energy saving,environmental protection and other aspects,which leads to the urgent need and significance of the research on tire rolling resistance,and then the development of rolling resistance research at home and abroad.Traced back to the current situation.On the basis of summarizing the research results of the predecessors,the 205/55R16 gauge smooth tires were selected.From the aspects of indoor test and finite element simulation,the influence of the design parameters and the use parameters of the tire on the rolling resistance of the tire was studied.The main work and main conclusions are as follows:1)Exploring the method of finite element modeling of tire rolling resistance,including 2D material distribution drawing,meshing,mesh simplification processing,rubber constitutive model addition,skeleton material parameter setting,3D model generation,etc.The result is a complete finite element simulation model.2)The effects of tire formulation design parameters and structural design parameters on rolling resistance were studied.Various test schemes were made,and the indoor tires were tested for rolling resistance.The rolling resistance under the influence of these parameters was also used.The simulation results show that the smaller the Tan δ value at 60 °C,the smaller the rubber energy loss and the smaller the rolling resistance of the tire;the increase of the belt width,the decrease of the angle and the increase of the difference will increase the crown portion of the tire.Stiffness,reduce the energy loss caused by tire deformation,reduce the rolling resistance of the tire;reduce the width of the carcass,reduce the number of layers,reduce the hysteresis loss caused by the deformation of the carcass and the sidewall,thereby reducing the rolling resistance of the tire And the way the carcass is formed has little effect on the rolling resistance.3)The three kinds of use parameters of the tire were studied: the influence of load,air pressure and speed on the rolling resistance of the tire.By controlling the single variable,the test sample tire was made for indoor test,and the test result and the result of finite element simulation were carried out.In contrast,the relationship between the three usage parameters and the rolling resistance of the tire is finally obtained: the rolling resistance value of the tire will decrease significantly with the increase of the air pressure,and the rolling resistance value of the tire will increase linearly with the increase of the load,and the rolling resistance The coefficient remains essentially the same;the driving speed does not substantially affect the rolling resistance of the tire.While studying the influence of the above three kinds of parameters on the rolling resistance,the test rim is also studied as a variable.It is found that the increase of the rim width will also reduce the rolling resistance of the tire to a certain extent.
