With the development of modern science and technology, areas ofapplication of the coupling is more and more widely, it has to pass a certain loadrequires a secure and reliable, easy to dismount, so increasingly high demand onthe coupling. Interference connection, drive shaft and a drive connection shaft toexert a certain amount of axial force on the drive shaft, the inclusive parts (driveconnecting shaft) and inclusive (drive shaft) with the friction to hold fast to thepass working load of cone coupling. The interference of the conical surface ofthe connection can withstand with alternating torque and force of the impact, and can be repeated assembly and disassembly without affecting the strength ofthe connection. The face-gear connection transmit torque, high efficiencyassembly of neutral and face spline with the operation of the process gap andimpact, transmission more stable, and greatly increased the life span. With theCNC and precision machining technology, the face-gear applications will have abroad space for development.Based on the structure and size of the cone in the8×3.5precision ringrolling machine balancing device shaft connection and face-gear connection, using three-dimensional software UG to create a solid model import finiteelement software ANSYS and ANSYS Workbench, the establishment of thecone connection and finite element model of the face-gear, strength check, andthe cone angle of the cone torque transmission and intensity cone joint structure, and also made improvements to the drive coupling shaft sleeve materials, aswell as local dimensions; face-gear strength analysis, analysis of stressdistribution in side teeth. This work completed, to improve the design quality of the cone connectionand terminal gear connected to reduce design costs and shorten the developmentcycle, and with good engineering practice significance.
