With the accelerating progress of urbanization and increasingly urgent energy-savingproblem, LED is gradually applied to street lamp engineering instead of traditional lightingscource because of the advantage of lower energy onsumption.However,there is still muchproblem such as light distribution, cooling, maintenance, sealing, modeling so on and so forthexsisting in LED application,which greatly hindered it’s further development.Firstly,the paper analysized the LED user demands based on house of quality principle(component of quality function deployment),pointing out that Thermal design, the detachablestructure and model design are the top3most influential engeerning measures on users. Andthen identified the prominent contradictions exsisted in LED street lamp design process usingAxiomatic Design and independent axioms principle. Finally,the combination of QFD-AD-TRIZ was proposed as a new design method after the analysis of the principle of TRIZ.A Sun flower shaped radiator was designed to improve the cooling system of street lampand Two simulation models of12-watt and14-watt cooling module was established. followedby thermal analysis based on ANSYS. Then the parameters of height, spacing, thickness oftwo module fin was optimized,and the problem existing in lamp radiating holes was solvedby TRIZ separation principle;and then Module design was put out as a new approach in viewof the unsatisfied condition in disassembly of LED street lamp.The contradiction betweensealing and disassembly was solved sucessfully by TRIZ and the modeling design of LEDlamp was completed based on bionic design concept in the end.
