Chinese Traditional Vernacular Dwellings have been inherited Millennium, fully to show us the intelligence and wisdom of the ancestors, is the valuable intangible cultural heritage. But, due to various reasons, our traditional residential architecture is gradually moving towards decline or even disappears. So, making a comprehensive and systematic research on folk house is very important, to make good design ideas glow with new vitality.There are great differences between different regions and nationality at Chinese traditional residential architectural forms. Author has been analyzed the data of Chinese traditional houses and inspected some areas residential, discussed several representative folk house in the first part of article. At some aspects, such as architectural forms, spatial layoutm, selection of building materials and landscape planting, Traditional Chinese Vernacular Architecture contains a wealth of ecological ideas. It is also the main reason why around dwellings are able to show a many similarities. With advances in technology, human activities seriously endanger the Earth’s natural environment, ecological environment is deteriorating. In order to deal well with the relationship among people, nature and building, we will need to learn and carry forward the Chinese traditional design ideas to guide our daily actions.21st century, the concept of low-carbon eco has quietly get into the hearts of everyone, many aspects of our lives are related to low carbon-ecological. If we use less once electricity, a drop of water that can save energy and reduce carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions. In the field of interior design, during the design process, refine and sublimate the ecological concept of traditional Chinese Vernacular Architecture, to build low carbon health interior space environment is the bounden duty of every designer in the latter part of the article, author analyzes the many vicious problems in interior design, such as the pursuit of luxury, extravagance and waste, discusses the concept and characteristics of "low carbon" interior design. In the condition of inheritance of the ecological concept of Chinese traditional houses, author carries a "low carbon" interior design, considered from the construction of indoor space, choice and recycling of the materials and the indoor landscape planting three respects. At the same time, it looks into the future of low-carbon design, and points out a low-carbon design of future development trends. At last, author combines low-carbon design concept and design practice, participates and completes a Kanto regional characteristics of low-carbon interior design project.
