With the continuous development of technology and consumer demand, theMulti-Specification and Small-Batch become the main production mode in moderntimes. The shewart control chart has some shortages used in this production mode, andmost detection in test laboratory is small batch, so the use of effective small batchcontrol chart to monitor the process is particularly important. This paper discussed thesmall batch control method and the use in test laboratory. The contents of this paper areas follows:1、We discussed why the traditional methods of quality control method not suitableto the small batch production, compared the following three small batch controlmethods after the analysis of the characteristics of the small batch production: Bayescontrol method, CUSUM and EWMA control chart, single-value control chart.2、This paper aims to use the small batch control chart in test laboratory, analyzedthe quality control method in testing laboratory. The quality control of test laboratorycan be divided into internal and external, the control charts used in internal qualitycontrol mainly. This paper introduced how a test laboratory using the method of controlcharts. Similar with enterprise, the control chart should be selected according to thedetection properties and specific items of test laboratory.3, Q chart was draw after the conversion of original measurement data, and hasgood control effect when parameters unknown or the sample size too small in the smallbatch production. The Q chart divided into count type and measurement modelaccording to the date features. The X-Q chart and single-value Q chart was analyzedand compared in this paper and improved.The MATLAB program was used to simplify the complex calculation in theprocess of Q statistics transformation and improve the actual operability. An example oftest laboratory and a data of software simulation were tested respectively in improvedX-Q chart and single-value Q chart, the results showed that the improved control effectis better, which indicate the use of Q chart and the improvement chart in test laboratoryis feasible and effective.
